Company Accountant Central Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Salary up to £60,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Company Accountant to join a well-established property business based in the heart of Glasgow. This is a broad and varied role offering significant responsibility across financial and management accounting, as well as the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders and gain visibility across the wider business.

This position would suit a hands-on accountant who enjoys working within a smaller organisation, taking ownership of the finance function and supporting business operations beyond traditional accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial records for multiple UK entities
• Prepare monthly management information and financial reports
• Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and monitor funding requirements
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee control accounts
• Monitor property expenditure against budgets and analyse variances
• Manage tenant invoicing, debtor reporting and service charge reconciliations
• Prepare payroll and HMRC submissions
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and advisers
• Review year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
• Monitor banking facilities and covenant compliance
• Support wider bookkeeping, finance and administrative activities as required

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a Company Accountant, Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero
• Experience within property, real estate or a related sector would be advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a small business environment with a hands-on approach
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
