The Opportunity
A well-established and respected property business is seeking an experienced Office Manager / Property Manager to join its close-knit team.
This is a varied role combining people leadership, office management, and hands-on property management responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of a small team while managing their own portfolio of residential properties, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered to landlords, tenants, and contractors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious property professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role while remaining actively involved in portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Team Management
- Lead, support, and motivate a small property management team.
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient workflows.
- Monitor team performance and assist with training and development.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex tenant, landlord, and maintenance issues.
- Support the implementation and improvement of office procedures and best practices.
Property Management
- Manage your own portfolio of residential properties.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance works, and property inspections.
- Ensure compliance with current property legislation and industry regulations.
- Handle tenancy renewals, rent reviews, and associated administration.
- Resolve property-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and property management systems.
About You
- Previous experience in residential property management.
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of property legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Full UK driving licence.
