Job Title: Technical Officer (Temporary Position)

We are seeking a Technical Officer to join a busy maintenance team. This role will focus on the maintenance of public buildings, including schools, leisure facilities, and family centres. The successful candidate will oversee subcontractors, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and manage reactive maintenance tasks. Coming from a mechanical and electrical background would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain public buildings, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors and manage compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Handle paperwork and documentation related to maintenance tasks.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of compliance and health and safety standards.
• Ability to manage subcontractors effectively.

Education Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in building maintenance, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.
• Additional certifications in health and safety are preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within public sector.
• Experience overseeing maintenance projects and managing subcontractors.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements in social housing or public sector environments.
