Glasgow | Part-Time - 4 days per week | £26,000–£32,000 FTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Operator to join a growing organisation in Glasgow. This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a varied payroll function within a business going through an exciting period of growth and change.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
  • Managing starters, leavers, holidays, absences and payroll changes
  • Processing deductions and amendments
  • Maintaining accurate payroll and employee records
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries from employees and managers
  • Liaising with HR where queries fall outside of payroll
  • Supporting the ongoing consolidation and development of the payroll function
  • Working across multiple payrolls and entities, providing plenty of variety within the role

About You

We're looking for someone with around 2–3 years' payroll experience, ideally with exposure to end-to-end payroll processing.

You'll be someone who:

  • Has strong payroll administration experience
  • Can confidently manage payroll processes from start to finish
  • Is comfortable dealing with employee queries and discrepancies
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is organised and able to manage deadlines
  • Can work independently and take ownership
  • Is confident but personable and approachable
  • Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team

Experience with Sage 50 would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

If you have payroll experience and looking for a varied, hands-on opportunity within a growing business, we'd love to hear from you!
