Location: Central Scotland
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent, Monday to Friday Role

About the Role
We are recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a busy food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to take ownership of stock control activities, purchasing administration, and inventory accuracy across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are available when required, stock records remain accurate, and supplier relationships are effectively managed. The role combines office-based administration with hands-on stock management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records across multiple storage locations.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks.
- Process stock movements and update the internal stock management system.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock availability.
- Purchase packaging and raw materials from approved suppliers.
- Review supplier invoices and resolve any pricing or quantity discrepancies.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, quality concerns, and other supply issues.
- Support the sourcing of new ingredients and packaging solutions alongside internal teams.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure stock is stored safely and in line with company standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support internal audits and customer compliance requirements.
- Promote and maintain high health and safety standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in Stock Control, Inventory Management, Purchasing, or a similar position.
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good understanding of supply chain and stock management principles.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive and dependable approach to work.
