Mobile Maintenance Electrician – Central Belt

Location: Glasgow / West Scotland – covering the Central Belt
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE & Qualifications
Hours: Monday – Friday
On Call: 1 in 6
Company Van: Provided with personal use

We’re working with an established and growing Facilities Management & Building Management Services company looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrician looking for a stable, long-term position offering a competitive salary, a manageable 1 in 6 on-call rota and the added benefit of a company van that can be used personally.

The role will be mobile, covering commercial sites throughout the Central Belt of Scotland, so we’re ideally looking for someone based in Glasgow or the surrounding West of Scotland area.

The Role

Working as part of the mobile engineering team, you’ll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding to reactive electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
• Fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues.
• Completing electrical repairs and remedial works.
• Carrying out testing and inspection where qualified.
• Supporting general building services maintenance when required.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current electrical regulations.
• Completing job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
• Liaising directly with clients and providing a high standard of customer service.
• Participating in a 1 in 6 on-call rota.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician with a strong background working within Facilities Management, Building Services or commercial maintenance.

Ideally, you will have:

• Recognised electrical qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous commercial electrical maintenance experience.
• Strong PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working in a mobile engineering position.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Testing & Inspection qualifications would be advantageous.

Candidates should ideally be based in Glasgow or the surrounding West of Scotland area due to the geographical coverage of the role.
