A growing and well-established Property & Construction Consultancy based in Glasgow city centre is looking to appoint an Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The business has developed an excellent reputation across the Scottish market and continues to secure a diverse range of high-value projects across the commercial and industrial sectors.
With a strong focus on employee development, the consultancy provides a supportive environment where junior professionals can develop their technical skills, gain valuable project exposure and progress towards professional chartership.
Your new role
As an Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support experienced Quantity Surveyors across a varied portfolio of projects including office refurbishments, industrial developments, distilleries and hotel schemes, typically ranging in value from £15m to £40m.
You will gain exposure to the full project life cycle, including:
- Cost planning and estimating
- Procurement and tendering
- Contract administration
- Valuations and cost reporting
- Change control and variations
- Final accounts
- Client and contractor liaison
- Project delivery support across multiple sectors
This role offers an excellent opportunity to take on responsibility from an early stage while working closely with experienced Chartered Surveyors.
What you'll need to succeed - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Recently graduated or possess some relevant Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ambition to progress towards RICS APC Chartership
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
