This is a high-profile senior leadership opportunity with a global firm, offering the chance to influence decisions that directly impact financial reporting, capital, liquidity, regulatory standing and business strategy. The role has a global remit and enterprise-wide accountability, partnering with senior leadership on complex accounting and regulatory matters and playing a key role in shaping the organisation’s response to evolving standards and regulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior leadership and independent advice on accounting and regulatory policy matters with significant financial, regulatory and reputational impact.

  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Risk, Legal, Treasury and business teams, providing advice while maintaining appropriate independent challenge and governance.
  • Lead and develop team members within the centre of excellence, with responsibility for performance, talent development, succession planning and building future policy capability.
Experience required:
  • Qualified accountant with strong technical expertise in IFRS and/or US GAAP and a solid understanding of prudential regulation.
  • Proven experience providing senior-level accounting and/or regulatory policy advice on complex, high-impact matters.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk, governance and regulatory expectations, with the ability to apply sound judgement in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders at Managing Director level, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate technical policy into commercial, financial and Firm-wide outcomes.
  • Experience leading or contributing to large-scale accounting or regulatory change programmes.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge and drive decisions.
On offer:
  • Market leading salary
  • Hybrid working
  • Flexible benefits
  • Annual bonus
