Leo Recruitment Limited

Full Stack Developer – Full-time, Permanent

Technology: TypeScript, AWS, React, React Native

Location: East Kilbride, Scotland (soon moving to Glasgow - hybrid working, 4 days per week in the office)

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum DOE + Benefits

The Opportunity:

“Full stack” can sometimes mean maintaining an ageing application, switching endlessly between disconnected tasks, or being expected to cover every technical problem alone.

This role offers something much more engaging: the opportunity to build modern web, mobile and cloud-based products that support essential services used by millions of people.

You’ll join an established, financially secure technology business entering an exciting period of growth. With new products being developed for expanding markets, you’ll work on an initial project using AWS CDK to create microservices in AWS, alongside a shared web and mobile solution built with Solito, React and React Native.

You’ll contribute across the complete product lifecycle, collaborate closely with experienced developers and have a voice in how technical solutions are designed and delivered.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Salary £50-60,000 per annum (may be slightly negotiable depending on experience)
  • Annual salary reviews with regular market benchmarking
  • Hybrid working – 1 day per week remote from home
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme with employer contribution and matched enhancements
  • Health Cash Plan including 24/7 GP access, dental and optical cover
  • Death in Service cover (4x salary)
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Paid volunteering days
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Comfortable, modern open-plan office
  • Team and company social events
  • Autonomy, trust and long-term career progression
  • Structured training and development opportunities to help you grow
  • Supportive, team-focused culture that values your ideas and achievements

What the Full Stack Developer Will Do:

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll work closely with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to design, build and maintain modern software solutions. You’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle, helping to create scalable, reliable systems used by organisations across the UK.

  • Build production-grade applications and services using TypeScript and JavaScript across web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop React-based user experiences and cloud-based microservices.
  • Create and maintain AWS infrastructure through code.
  • Write unit, integration and end-to-end automated tests.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve development and delivery practices.
  • Collaborate across teams to prioritise requirements, estimate work and influence technical solutions.

The Technology Environment & What You Need:

The engineering team works within a modern, cloud-native technology stack designed to support scalable, high-performance applications. They’re looking for a collaborative Full Stack Developer who enjoys solving problems and building reliable systems within a fast-paced product environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • At least two years’ commercial experience writing production-grade JavaScript or TypeScript
  • At least two years’ hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure as code
  • Experience writing automated unit, integration or end-to-end tests
  • A good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Confidence contributing to requirements, estimates and technical discussions
  • Experience with AWS CDK would be particularly valuable.

Knowledge of any of the following would also be useful, although you don’t need to have worked with everything listed: React Native, React Native Web, Solito, Projen, Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development, AWS certifications such as Developer Associate

Why You Should Apply:

If your current role has become dominated by repetitive maintenance, unclear ownership or technology that no longer helps you develop, this position offers the chance to work across a modern cloud-based stack on products with a genuine real-world impact.

You’ll have meaningful technical variety without being left to solve everything alone, support from experienced colleagues and the opportunity to influence the products you help create.

Apply now or message me directly for a confidential conversation. You don’t need experience with every technology listed to be considered.

We are happy to support neurodivergent candidates and can make reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process.
