Job Purpose• To carry out the installation, testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical building services installations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities• To carry out electrical installation tasks as directed by site supervision teams.
• Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
• To ensure quality installation standards are met.
• To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all electrically related job requirements on the project.
• Assist other trades as necessary.
• To comply with security protocol within the site environment.
• To remain focussed on delivery of the project to the satisfaction of the client.
• To work with a “right first time” attitude within the business.
• To be committed to working in integrated mechanical and electrical teams.

Working RelationshipsInternal
• Interface with site supervision and other members of the team across all trades.
External
• Interface with Client Representative, Service Providers, Sub-Contractors and Material Suppliers.
Person Specification Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and SkillsThe knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:
Essential• Current (in date) SJIB Approved Electrician ECS Grade Card.
• City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.
• 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent.
• Health and Safety Training.
• GCSE (or ‘O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
• Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
Desirable• Basic Mechanical experience/knowledge.
• Supervisory experience for future development.
• Basic CRB Clearance within the past 8 weeks with Disclosure Scotland.
