The Company
Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a family run construction company in the heart of Glasgow in the recruitment of an Bookkeeper/Accountant on a permanent basis. 

This vacancy, the result of forecasted growth will report into one of the managing directors of the business and will be office based 5 days per week (the company offer free parking).

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to support our client`s day to day accounting activities and ensure that there is a clear line of sight for the board in terms of cash flow.  The role will be stand-alone and will be the main point of contact for all financial questions. 

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Ensure that all incoming invoices are input into the companies finance system (Quickbooks)
Process outgoing invoices and ensure that outstanding balances are monitored.
Working with tools such as Excel, build cashflow models/spreadsheets to aid financial visibility.
Maintain accurate records and oversee clerical duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Implement office policies and procedures to improve workflow and productivity.
Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilise QuickBooks for financial management and bookkeeping tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors, demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette.

The Requirements
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced accountant/bookkeeper/accounting manager who has a good level of knowledge around accounts (minimum of 3 years of UK experience).  We require the applicant to be diligent, highly organised and self-motivated.  This role would suit somebody who is used to working in a dynamic environment where priorities change and no two days are the same.  The organisation foster an environment where everyone is equal and nobody is too important to ensure basic tasks are completed, this in turn makes the environment highly successful and collaborative.  We would love to see candidates who have used Quickbooks in the past but this is not essential.  Candidates will need to be Glasgow based or within the immediate vicinity. 

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
