Private Client Tax Associate Director - #2131209

Crowe Watson Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Glasgow as they search for an experienced Private Client Tax Associate Director to join their growing team, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals, trusts, and business owners, while playing an active role in developing junior members of the team and contributing to the wider growth of the private client tax function.

This is a firm that genuinely invests in its people, offering a clear route to Director level for the right candidate. This role would suit a CTA or ACA/ACCA qualified tax professional with substantial private client tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment, who is looking for genuine progression, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact within a leading Glasgow firm.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, trusts, and business owners
• Provide advisory-led tax planning alongside compliance across income tax, CGT, and IHT
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Support the development and mentoring of junior tax staff
• Contribute to business development and growth of the private client tax offering

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters
• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead on complex tax matters
• Strong communication and people management skills
