Are you an experienced Corporate Tax professional looking for a role where you can manage a high-quality portfolio, develop your team and play a genuine part in the growth of an ambitious accountancy firm?
We're recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing Tax team in Glasgow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of corporate tax but also wants client ownership, people management and career progression.
You'll work with a varied portfolio ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups, with exposure to compliance, advisory work, R&D, capital allowances and corporate transactions.
What will you be doing?You'll take responsibility for managing corporate tax compliance services and a portfolio of key clients, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to deadline.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
- Reviewing and overseeing corporate tax compliance assignments
- Managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality delivery
- Providing technical guidance and advice to clients
- Delegating work and supervising assignments
- Coaching, supporting and developing junior team members
- Supporting staff appraisals and wider people matters
- Monitoring fees and WIP
- Contributing to business development, marketing and resource planning
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and technical developments
- Working closely with the wider leadership team to support the continued growth of the department
You'll ideally be ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent, with strong experience working within corporate tax and the confidence to manage assignments and deal directly with clients.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Strong corporate tax compliance experience
- Experience reviewing and managing tax assignments
- Excellent technical corporate tax knowledge
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Experience supervising, coaching or developing others
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- The confidence to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
