THE OPPORTUNITY

Behind every successful construction project, there's someone making sure nothing falls through the cracks the schedule holds, the documents are right, the risks are flagged before they become problems and everyone knows exactly where things stand. That's the role our client is hiring for.

Our client is an independent construction and property consultancy working across all sectors of the built environment, known for minimising risk and maximising value on some of the industry's most interesting projects. WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING

This isn't a back-office admin role you will be embedded in live projects, working alongside Project Managers and Directors, with real visibility and real influence over how projects run.
  • Help set the project brief, strategic schedule and procurement strategy, then track progress against it throughout delivery.
  • Track design and schedule changes, helping the wider team spot and mitigate risks before they become issues.
  • Take part in regular project progress meetings and client stakeholder sessions, becoming a trusted point of contact on your projects.
  • Own document control across your workstreams implementing clear folder structures, templates and quality checks so nothing gets lost or out of date.
  • Produce regular, genuinely useful project reports that Project Directors want to read.
  • Help deliver training to project teams on documentation processes, reporting protocols and quality standards.
  • Support vendor selection, track appointments, and monitor vendor performance against contract obligations.
  • Get involved in procurement and invoice processes and generally be the person who keeps the engine room running smoothly.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING
  • A degree (BA, BSc or equivalent) or equivalent experience that tells the same story.
  • Experience within the construction industry is preferred, ideally with some understanding of commercial fit-out project lifecycles.
  • Genuinely strong written and verbal communication you will be liaising with stakeholders at every level, leading workshops, and presenting to project teams.
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office, and experience developing and maintaining schedules, change logs and risk registers.
  • The ability to turn complex information into clear, well-structured reports and presentations.
  • A naturally detail-focused, organised mindset with a time-conscious approach to juggling workload and queries.
  • Comfort building strong working relationships in virtual and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with any of Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, Power BI, Autodesk Construction Cloud or Aconex is a genuine bonus, though not essential.
WHY THIS TEAM, WHY NOW
  • Join a PMO team led by a senior partner and board member, working across a genuinely diverse range of sectors with zero project monotony.
  • A firm that puts its money where its mouth is on development real investment in training, learning and career progression for every team member.
  • A close, sociable team culture that goes beyond the day job, with regular networking and firm-wide events.
  • Join a business recognised as one of the most ethical firms in the built environment, with a genuine social impact programme giving back to the communities they help build.
  • The chance to build a career with real breadth no sector boundaries means no ceiling on what you will learn.
