Welder

Barrow-in-Furness or Govan

£38.70 per hour

12-month contract

We are looking for experienced Welders to join major defence engineering projects in Barrow or Govan.

The Role

Structural steel welding and fabrication to high-quality standards
Working from engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
FCAW, MAG/MIG, TIG and/or Submerged Arc Welding
Working with tight tolerances and technical specifications
Carrying out fitting, alignment, grinding, cleaning and finishing
Inspecting and checking your own work
Working safely within a skilled production team

Requirements

Time-served Engineering Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent
Strong industrial structural welding experience
Experience working to WPS and high-quality standards
Relevant welding qualifications/certifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong understanding of SHE and quality requirements

12-month contract | £38.70ph | Barrow or Govan
