An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Adviser

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Adviser to take over an established book of business in our Glasgow office, comprising approximately 100 clients.

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong, trusted relationships with existing clients, growing revenue from the client bank, and generating new business through referrals and other lead sources.

You will act as a trusted financial adviser to a portfolio of clients, taking the time to understand their financial circumstances, immediate needs and long-term aspirations. Working closely with the paraplanning team, you will develop appropriate financial plans and advice solutions designed to help clients achieve their goals.

You will also provide an outstanding ongoing review service, ensuring clients' financial plans continue to meet their needs and remain appropriate in light of changes to their personal circumstances, the economy or legislation.

Job Summary
  • Act as a trusted Investment Adviser under the Approved Persons Certification Regime, in accordance with company procedures and FCA rules and guidance.
  • Ensure all active clients receive their annual review meetings and that these are fully documented.
  • Follow the firm's financial advice process and adhere to all relevant service standards, processes and procedures.
  • Use cash-flow modelling tools, where appropriate, to bring clients' financial situations to life and demonstrate the impact and benefits of your advice.
  • Work closely with the paraplanning and client administration teams to deliver an outstanding advice and service proposition.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients with a view to converting prospects into long-term clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with introducers and their staff, where applicable.
  • Ensure all client files are maintained to the required compliance standards.
  • Generate new business opportunities from the existing client bank and other lead sources.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
