Job description:

  • Conducting routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc)
  • Rectifying and reducing faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning
  • Checking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment
  • Conducting the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures
  • Reinstating lift/escalator and complete service documentation
  • Conducting more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information
  • Conducting site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills

Profile description:

  • Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred
  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent
  • Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment
  • The ability to work independently with a flexible approach
  • Effective communication skills at various levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors)
  • Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information
  • Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good administration skills and punctuality
  • Full UK driving license
