Technical Manager - #2141162

We are currently working with a leading specialist contractor who are growing there Pre-Construction team in Glasgow.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a technically strong individual to join the business as a Technical Manager.

This is a front-end role, working closely with clients, design teams and internal stakeholders to interrogate design information, identify gaps and resolve technical issues before projects progress to estimating.

The Role

• Review and interrogate design
• Identify gaps, assumptions and technical issues within designs
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information
• Manage RFIs and work closely with clients and design teams
• Review tender information and establish the scope of works
• Work with suppliers to bring design up to spec
• Ensure the design is fully developed to be handed to estimating

The Candidate

They are looking for someone who is highly technical and comfortable interrogating design information rather than simply coordinating it.

You could currently be working as an Architectural Technologist, Technical Coordinator, Technical Manager, Technical Specification Manager or within a technical role for a relevant manufacturer.

You will ideally have experience working with specialist construction products or systems and be confident interpreting technical literature, specifications, drawings and complex interfaces.
