Senior HR Advisor (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Glasgow (Site Based)
Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract with potential to become permanent
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor to join their busy HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with managers and employees to deliver a high-quality HR service.
The successful candidate will have a strong Employee Relations background and be confident managing a varied caseload while supporting the wider HR function. This is a site-based role, requiring a visible and collaborative presence across the business.
There is potential for this position to become permanent for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters.
- Manage complex Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and investigations.
- Support managers through HR processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Prepare and complete all associated HR documentation and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with organisational change projects where required, including consultation processes.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Produce HR reports and management information as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
About You
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong Employee Relations experience with the confidence to independently manage complex casework.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to undertake HR administration and complete associated paperwork.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- CIPD qualification or working towards qualification would be advantageous.
