The Role
As a Master Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of technical excellence, vehicle safety and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
·Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer-approved equipment.
·Completing pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
·Conducting comprehensive vehicle health checks and identifying additional work required.
·Inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical components, including brakes, suspension, tyres and lighting.
·Carrying out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
·Completing authorised repairs and ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards.
·Undertaking road tests to confirm repairs have been completed successfully.
·Maintaining accurate job cards and technical records.
·Supporting and sharing technical knowledge with other workshop technicians.
 
About You
To be considered for this Master Technician position, you'll ideally have:
·NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification.
·Extensive experience as a Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician.
·Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
·A thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures and manufacturer standards.
·Experience working to productivity targets while maintaining exceptional workmanship.
·A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent attention to detail.
·The ability to work independently while supporting and mentoring colleagues.
·A full, valid UK driving licence.
 
Previous manufacturer or franchised dealership experience is advantageous but not essential, as manufacturer accreditation training will be available.
