Principal BI Developer - #2153565

With increasing volumes of financial data and evolving regulatory requirements, their technology plays a key role in helping organisations improve efficiency, reduce risk, and gain greater control over their operations.

As part of continued growth, they're looking for a Principal Developer to lead technical delivery, support and develop engineers, and help shape best practice across multiple client-facing projects.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll combine technical expertise with team management and project ownership.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and mentoring a team of Developers across multiple levels.
• Supporting career development, performance, and technical growth within the team.
• Driving engineering standards and development best practices.
• Reviewing and approving technical solution designs.
• Overseeing project build activities and technical delivery.
• Managing defect triage and resolution throughout testing phases.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Leading peer reviews and ensuring high-quality delivery outcomes.
• Working closely with project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Experience in FinTech, SaaS, financial services, or other data-intensive environments
• Previous experience working with reconciliation platforms or financial data solutions
• A proven track record of leading technical delivery projects
• Experience managing or mentoring development teams
• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working within structured change management processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to solving technical challenges

Technical Environment

You'll work extensively with:

• Microsoft SQL Server
• SQL querying, optimisation and performance tuning
• Data manipulation and analysis
• SSRS Or Power BI
