PQ Accountant - #2157046

Anderson Knight is proud to partner with a well-established and successful organisation who are looking to appoint a PQ Accountant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and continue developing their technical accounting experience within a supportive and professional environment.

Working as part of the wider finance team, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting activities and will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Supporting with month-end and year-end processes
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Preparing and reviewing financial information to ensure accuracy
• Supporting with VAT and other relevant tax requirements
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Working closely with colleagues across the business to provide financial information and support
• Assisting with audit requirements and responding to queries when required
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and accounting tasks

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised and keen to continue developing their accounting career. You will ideally be studying towards, or have an ambition to work towards, a professional qualification such as ACCA, or  CIMA

You should have:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
• A good understanding of accounting principles and processes
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across the business
• Good Excel and general IT skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
