This would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and is comfortable working in a busy, varied environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming visitors, clients and contractors to the building

  • Answering and directing telephone calls and email enquiries
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post, parcels and deliveries
  • Booking meeting rooms and managing room schedules
  • Preparing and resetting meeting rooms between bookings
  • Liaising with tenants and responding to day-to-day enquiries

  • Providing general administrative support
  • Ensuring reception and communal areas are tidy and well presented
  • Reporting any maintenance, facilities or health & safety concerns
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering reception and office supplies when required
  • Supporting meeting and event set-up
  • Maintaining accurate reception records and logs

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, organised and confident dealing with a variety of people throughout the working day.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience in reception, front of house, hospitality or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional and welcoming manner
  • Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • The ability to manage several tasks and priorities at once
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • The ability to work independently and use your initiative
  • A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work

What you can expect

You’ll be joining a people-focused environment where providing a great experience for everyone who comes through the door is important.

Full training and support will be provided to help you settle into the role.

The position is based primarily at Kirkstane House in Glasgow City Centre, although occasional flexibility to provide reception cover at other city centre locations may be required.

If you’re friendly, organised and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
