Estimator | Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Office-based with occasional site visits

The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a successful infrastructure contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in securing and delivering a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
• Work closely with engineering, commercial, and operational teams throughout the bid process
• Support the preparation of tender documentation and pricing schedules

About You:

• Previous estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction
• Strong understanding of construction methods and project costs
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Excellent commercial awareness, communication, and analytical skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
