Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting our busy environmental consultancy client in the search for a Senior / Principal Hydrologist.

This is an opportunity to join one of Scotland's leading renewable energy consultancies, working on a diverse portfolio of onshore wind, solar, battery storage and emerging energy projects that are helping drive the transition to net zero.

You'll take a leading role in delivering hydrological assessments and EIA inputs, managing projects, mentoring colleagues, and providing technical expertise across a wide range of renewable energy developments.

The Ideal Candidate:

● Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.

● 5+ Years’ experience in the renewables sector.

● Extensive experience in delivering hydrological assessment and associated technical appendices.

● Experience of regular fieldwork, including both lone working and working in a team.

● In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system and EIA.

● In-depth knowledge of UK hydrological guidance.

● Exceptional understanding of key environmental and technical issues involved in the development of renewable energy projects.

● Strong technical competency in EIA, with strong problem solving, communication and technical report writing skills.

● Experience in using GIS (ArcPro or QGIS) for mapping, spatial analysis, and processing field survey data.

● Valid Driving Licence for use within UK.

● The right to work in the United Kingdom, full-time, in perpetuity.
