Due to continued growth, React Catering Services Limited is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our expanding engineering team.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in commercial refrigeration, who is confident in fault finding, servicing, maintenance and repair.

Ideally, we would love to hear from engineers who also have experience working on commercial catering equipment, particularly electrical catering equipment. This isn't essential, but would be a real advantage and would allow for a more varied role within the React team.

The Role

This is a field-based role, attending customer sites including restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals and other commercial kitchens.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Attending reactive breakdowns and diagnosing faults
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Electrical fault finding and repairs
• Restoring equipment to a safe working condition
• Completing job sheets, service reports and relevant certification accurately
• Using our electronic job management system and mobile devices
• Managing van stock and identifying/ordering required parts
• Clearly explaining faults, repairs and maintenance requirements to customers
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service
• Working safely and in line with React's Health & Safety procedures
• Participating in an on-call rota, with occasional evening, weekend or out-of-hours work where required.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience working with commercial refrigeration equipment
• Relevant F-Gas / refrigerant handling qualification
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good electrical fault-finding knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK driving licence
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility towards on-call duties

It would be a real advantage if you also have:

• Experience across a range of catering equipment manufacturers
• Relevant electrical qualifications
• Commercial catering Gas Safe qualifications such as COMCAT 1, 3 and 5
• Electrical testing and inspection qualifications.
