- Maintain pensioner records, including tax code amendments and pension increases.
- Prepare and issue payslips and other payroll-related communications.
- Respond to payroll and pension queries from members, clients and other stakeholders.
- Reconcile pension payroll bank accounts and assist with cash management activities.
- Support the implementation and onboarding of new client payroll services.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is processed and stored appropriately.
- Liaise with external suppliers, banking contacts and other relevant parties.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and service delivery.

About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience in payroll administration and are looking to build on their existing knowledge within a specialist pensions environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in payroll administration, preferably involving pensioner payrolls.
- Knowledge of PAYE, statutory deductions and HMRC reporting requirements.
- Experience using payroll systems and maintaining accurate employee or pensioner records.
- Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, with confidence handling queries and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm and accurate in a busy environment.
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- A collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Relevant qualifications in payroll, pensions or a related discipline would be advantageous, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
You don't need to meet every requirement to apply - If you have a solid payroll background, a willingness to learn and a strong eye for detail, we'd be keen to hear from you. Support and training will be available to help you develop the specialist knowledge required for the role.
