QA
Help inspire Scotland’s next generation of digital talent!

Are you a natural people person who loves building relationships, engaging with young people and making a difference?

At QA, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Schools & Community Engagement Coordinator to help us connect young people across Scotland with exciting apprenticeship opportunities.

You’ll be at the heart of our schools and community engagement activity, working with educators, community organisations and apprenticeship ambassadors to raise awareness of apprenticeships and inspire young people to take their first steps towards a career in digital and technology.

What you’ll be doing
  • Building strong relationships with schools, colleges, community groups and youth organisations across Scotland.

  • Attending and delivering engaging careers events, presentations and workshops to promote apprenticeship opportunities.

  • Recruiting, coordinating and supporting our network of Apprenticeship Ambassadors.

  • Planning and organising events, including coordinating resources, materials and ambassador attendance.

  • Working closely with our Marketing and Recruitment teams to develop creative ways of reaching and engaging young people.

  • Supporting QA’s Tech for Futures and EduQate engagement programmes.

  • Monitoring engagement activity, gathering leads and reporting on event outcomes.

Measuring your impact

You’ll play an important role in helping us grow our apprenticeship talent pipeline across Scotland. Success in this role will be measured through key performance indicators, including the partnerships you develop, young people you engage with and the number of potential candidates progressing from initial engagement to apprenticeship applications.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised, creative and passionate about helping young people succeed.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience delivering presentations, workshops or events.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of people.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, digital systems and social media.

  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach and a genuine interest in supporting young people.

  • Experience working with schools, young people, community organisations or within the early careers sector would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential, as regular travel across Scotland is required. Occasional evening events may also be involved.

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete appropriate pre-employment safeguarding checks.

Why QA?

At QA, we’re passionate about unlocking potential. As a leading provider of digital and technology training, we help people develop the skills and confidence to build successful careers.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team, with the opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people’s futures while developing your own skills and experience.

What we offer
  • 27 days’ annual leave (including 4 days for festive closure), plus bank holidays.

  • Hybrid working, with 2 days per week in our Glasgow office.

  • Early Friday finish at 4pm.

  • Holiday buying scheme.

  • Pension scheme.

  • Medicash plan and Wellhub access.

  • Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Private medical insurance at corporate rates.

  • Employee discounts and Cycle to Work scheme.

  • 3 personal development and training days each year.

  • 2 charity days annually.

  • Access to QA’s digital learning resources and professional development opportunities.

Ready to make a difference?

If you’re passionate about inspiring young people, creating opportunities and helping shape Scotland’s future digital workforce, we’d love to hear from you.
