We are looking for a Java Full Stack Developer for our well-known client.

• Location: Glasgow
• Type of Work: Onsite work, 5 days a week from office
• Employment Type: Contract(Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java, Microservices, Cloud technologies, and modern web application development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications and working within agile teams.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS or Angular
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging platforms
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices
• Experience with application monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build scalable and secure microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate with third-party systems.
• Work with cloud-native technologies on AWS.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and project stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and production support activities.
• Optimize application performance and database queries.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Banking or Financial Services domain experience
• Experience with API security and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Exposure to event-driven architectures
