Three Bridges Recruitment

Accounts Payable & Expenses Administrator

Glasgow | £30,900 | Hybrid Working | 12-Month FTC

If you've built up good experience in accounts payable & expenses, & enjoy being part of a team where people help each other out, this could be an interesting next move.

We're recruiting for a leading law firm in Glasgow. It's a chance to join an established, friendly finance team, take responsibility for a varied workload & gain experience within a larger finance operation.

Although this is initially a 12-month contract, there's plenty to make the opportunity worthwhile, particularly if you enjoy working with good people, developing your skills & being part of a well-supported team.

What you'll be doing

You'll join a large team, working closely with the Team Managers & colleagues across the wider finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing supplier invoices, payments & reconciliations.
  • Managing employee expenses, ensuring claims are accurate & comply with company policies.
  • Administering corporate credit cards, including monthly reconciliations for more than 300 users.
  • Investigating discrepancies, resolving queries & following up outstanding transactions.
  • Working with colleagues & suppliers to keep payments & expenses running smoothly.
  • Supporting wider accounts payable activities & improvements to existing processes.

I

t's a busy role, so you'll need to be organised, comfortable managing deadlines & confident asking questions when something doesn't look right.

What we're looking for

You'll already have solid accounts payable experience, alongside hands-on experience of processing & administering expenses.

You'll also bring:

  • Good Excel skills, including pivot tables, filters & formatting.
  • Strong attention to detail & the ability to spot errors.
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues & dealing with queries.
  • A practical, organised approach & a willingness to get involved.

Experience in professional services would be helpful, but it's not essential. What's more important is your ability to understand processes, work accurately & communicate well with others.

What's on offer?

The Glasgow finance team has a friendly, approachable culture, with a relatively informal working environment & a strong sense of teamwork.

You'll also have access to learning and development opportunities, with the chance to broaden your understanding of other areas of finance.

The package includes:

  • £30,900 salary
  • Hybrid working, with approximately 50% working from home.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
  • Employer pension contributions matched up to 5%.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary firmwide bonus of up to 5%, subject to firm performance.
  • Private medical insurance, life assurance and wellbeing support.
  • Gym membership subsidy and enhanced family leave benefits, subject to eligibility.

The team works together in the Glasgow office one day a week, with at least two office days expected each week. There's also some flexibility around start & finish times.

What happens after 12 months?

The role is a fixed-term contract while the firm considers its longer-term team structure.

There may be opportunities to secure a permanent position or move into another internal finance role, depending on future vacancies & business needs. Nothing is guaranteed, but you'll gain experience within an established international business & have the opportunity to build relationships across the finance team.

Interested?

At Three Bridges Recruitment, two of our values are “striving for brilliance” & “relatability”. We want every applicant to receive an excellent experience & feel confident that a role is genuinely right for them.

If you're an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a good understanding of expenses administration, & you'd value joining a friendly, established finance team where you can contribute from day one and continue developing your experience, please apply with your most up-to-date CV or contact us for a confidential discussion.
