About

We are looking for a Location Lead to take ownership of the successful running of our Airparks sites in Scotland.

Alongside our established Aberdeen operation, you will be front and centre of our new location at Glasgow Airport helping to create and lead our teams and managers, delivering an excellent customer experience, and taking responsibility for the site's financial performance, safety and operational standards.

You'll shape a clear vision for the Scotland sites in line with Airparks' values of Great Service, Ownership, Team, Innovation and Trust. By building a culture of pride, care and continuous improvement, you'll help our people deliver a reliable, high-quality service while supporting the wider success of Airparks.

The Role

By joining our team you'll:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the site, keeping it fully operational 24/7 and delivering agreed performance, customer satisfaction and value-added sales targets
  • Own the site budget and P&L, monitor performance and reporting, manage costs, grow revenue and take timely action when results need to improve
  • Champion the customer experience, act as a customer ambassador and take ownership of service issues through to resolution
  • Lead, coach and develop managers and teams, supporting wellbeing, engagement and performance while building clear communication, ownership and Pride and Care
  • Set the health and safety standard on site, complete risk assessments and audits, and maintain compliance with health and safety, driver and vehicle requirements
  • Drive total quality management and continuous improvement, maintaining ISO 9001 standards
  • Identify commercial opportunities, deliver action plans and projects, and work closely with other Airparks sites and teams across the business
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, competitors and the local community, including local councils and police, and contribute to Airparks' strategic direction

This is a hands-on leadership role with scope to strengthen your experience in multi-team operations, financial management, customer service and continuous improvement. Out-of-hours and weekend working may be required. Travel to other Airparks locations is part of the role.

What You Can Bring To Our Team

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Substantial experience running an operational function and leading a team, including people management and development
  • Experience managing budgets and financial performance, including P&L
  • Experience managing health and safety, logistics and operational compliance
  • Experience leading cultural development and translating objectives into practical plans

You'll also bring

  • A credible, practical leadership style: you set a strong example, delegate well and are ready to roll up your sleeves
  • Commercial awareness, sound judgement, strong organisation and a focus on continual improvement
  • The ability to engage, coach and inspire people, build trust, communicate clearly and work collaboratively across sites
  • A positive, optimistic approach and a commitment to legal and regulatory compliance and to the Airparks values
  • Desirable: PCV driver's licence; management or health and safety qualification; TQM knowledge or experience; car park, transport or logistical management experience
