General Foreman

We are looking for an experienced General Foreman to oversee earthworks operations on a highway construction scheme.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site gangs, plant operators and subcontractors.
• Oversee bulk earthworks, cut and fill, excavation and embankment construction.
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme.
• Coordinate labour, plant and materials to maintain productivity.
• Monitor daily progress and report to the Site Manager.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, RAMS and site requirements.
• Liaise with engineers and site management to resolve any issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in highway construction and earthworks.
• Strong leadership and site supervision skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Valid CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
