Mechanical Engineer (Defence/Nuclear)

Glasgow- Remote Position

Join a team delivering critical defence and nuclear projects across the UK.

We're looking for a Chartered Mechanical Engineer to provide technical expertise on complex, highly regulated engineering programmes. You'll work across the full project lifecycle, supporting design assurance, stakeholder engagement, safety reviews, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide mechanical engineering support across major defence and nuclear projects.
Review and approve designs, technical documentation, and engineering solutions.
Support design reviews, risk assessments, hazard studies, and safety case activities.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery.
Oversee engineering, construction, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.

What We're Looking For

Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with Chartered status (CEng).
Experience delivering complex engineering projects within regulated sectors such as defence, nuclear, energy, marine, or infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of design assurance, engineering governance, and stakeholder management.
Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, or safety case processes is advantageous.
