Senior BI Developer / Principal BI Developer (FinTech & Financial Data)

Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid)

This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale financial data and reconciliation solutions used across the financial services sector. While the roles are titled Developer, they are closely aligned to BI Developer, BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Consultant, or Financial Systems Analyst positions, combining technical data skills with financial services domain expertise.

The successful candidates will work with large and complex datasets, helping to automate reconciliation processes, identify exceptions, improve financial controls, and deliver data-driven solutions to clients.

What You'll Bring

Strong SQL and data analysis/manipulation skills

Experience working with complex financial or transactional datasets

Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, Insurance, Banking, or SaaS background

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience gathering requirements and delivering business-focused data solutions

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Financial Services Domain Knowledge

Candidates should have experience in at least one of the following areas:

Financial Reconciliations

Regulatory Reporting & Compliance

Safeguarding

CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook)

MiFID

Principal Developer Additional Requirements

Experience mentoring or guiding other developers/analysts

Strong stakeholder and client-facing skills

Ability to provide technical leadership and day-to-day guidance within the team
