Commercial Director (Wind Energy)

You must be based in or commutable to Glasgow

This will include some travel to sites but these are mostly local

Up to £125,000 Dependant on experience + Car / Car Allowance + Bonus Scheme (up to 20-30%) + Benefits + Pension

Are you an experienced commercial professional from a construction background within the wind or high voltage sector looking to step into a Commercial Director role, leading the commercial delivery of major renewable energy projects and driving business growth?

Do you want a senior leadership position where you can take ownership of commercial strategy, overseeing major onshore wind projects from initial feasibility and financial appraisal through to procurement, contract negotiation and mobilisation?

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly respected renewable energy business at a key stage of growth. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will have significant autonomy and influence over the commercial direction of the business, taking responsibility for project performance, contract management, procurement and financial outcomes.

This role would suit an established Commercial Director, or a Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead, Business Manager or General Manager looking to progress into a senior leadership position. You will need strong commercial experience across wind energy and be seeking a role where you can take ownership of the success of a growing division.

The Role:

• Lead the commercial strategy for the Renewables division, taking ownership of major onshore wind projects throughout the pre-construction phase
• Oversee projects from feasibility and financial appraisal through to budgeting, procurement, contract negotiation and mobilisation
• Manage commercial due diligence, financial performance and project risks, working closely with engineering and project teams to ensure projects are commercially viable and ready for construction

The Person:

• Experienced commercial leader at Director level, or Commercial Manager / Commercial Lead ready to progress into a Senior Leadership role
• Strong experience in commercial delivery across renewable energy construction projects, including feasibility, financial management, contract management and programme delivery
• Looking to take ownership of major renewable energy projects within a growing organisation, with significant autonomy, progression opportunities and excellent earning potential
