This is an excellent opportunity for a driven mechanical professional to take ownership of projects from initial planning through to completion, overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical building services installations across a diverse range of sectors.

The successful candidate will have experience managing mechanical projects within the construction industry, ideally across sectors such as healthcare, education, hospitality, offices, leisure and heritage. Experience working in complex or technically demanding environments would be particularly advantageous.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of mechanical services packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the installation of mechanical services, including HVAC, ventilation, heating, plumbing and associated systems.
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, resources and procurement.
  • Working closely with main contractors, consultants and design teams to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Monitoring health and safety, quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and programme challenges.
  • Managing commissioning, snagging and final project handover.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and ensuring high standards of project delivery.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar mechanical building services role.
  • A strong technical understanding of mechanical installations within the construction industry.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, project programmes and budgets.
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to project delivery, with a focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Experience delivering projects within healthcare, education, hospitality, commercial offices, leisure or heritage buildings would be highly advantageous.

Candidates with experience in complex building services installations, refurbishment projects or specialist mechanical fit-outs are particularly encouraged to apply.

What's on Offer?

  • The opportunity to join an established and growing building services contractor.
  • Involvement in a varied portfolio of mechanical building services projects.
  • A role with responsibility for project delivery from start to finish.
  • The opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of construction and engineering professionals.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience.
