Location: Glasgow, Scotland | Salary: £50,000–£65,000 + benefits

The Opportunity

Unify HQ is working in partnership with a growing Building Management Systems (BMS) business in Scotland to recruit an Operations Manager to support the continued expansion of its service operation.

The business has experienced significant growth and with a growing engineering team and further investment in its service and project capabilities, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BMS professional to take on a leadership position and help shape the next stage of the company's development.

This role would suit an experienced BMS engineer ready to step into management, as well as an established Service Manager, Operations Manager or Technical Supervisor looking for their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and allocate work across the BMS engineering team, ensuring resources are deployed effectively.

  • Manage customer contracts, service agreements and contract renewals.

  • Oversee engineer scheduling, diaries, workload planning and service delivery.

  • Provide technical leadership and support engineers with technical queries, escalations and operational decisions.

  • Monitor workloads and priorities to ensure customer commitments and service standards are consistently met.

  • Work closely with the wider management team to improve processes, efficiency and the overall customer experience.

About You

  • Strong Technicial Experience in BMS service, maintenance, engineering or technical support.

  • Good understanding of service contracts, engineer scheduling and operational delivery.

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience would be advantageous but is not essential for an experienced engineer ready to progress into leadership.

What's on Offer?

  • £55,000–£65,000 depending on experience.

  • Flexible working arrangements; a mix of office collaboration, customer visits and site visits.

  • The chance to influence processes, support a growing engineering team and make a tangible impact on the business.
