Project Manager | Renewable Energy

I’m working with a leading renewable energy investor and developer to find a Project Manager to join their growing team in Glasgow.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of renewable energy projects across development, pre-construction and construction, playing a key role in bringing projects through to operation.

The business has an established presence in the renewables market and offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, alongside an experienced team delivering long-term renewable energy investments.

The Role

  • Manage the development and delivery of renewable energy projects through to operation and handover.
  • Coordinate grid connection agreements, engineering activities and technical interfaces.
  • Oversee pre-construction activities, including planning condition discharge and contractor procurement.
  • Manage contracts, project reporting, deliverables and payment processes.
  • Monitor project progress, quality assurance, HSE compliance and construction activities.
  • Manage relationships with grid operators, regulators, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues and ensure delivery against key milestones.

Who Would This Suit?

This would be a particularly good opportunity for someone working in renewable energy consultancy or in a project engineering role who is looking to move into a more project management-focused position, taking on greater responsibility for project delivery across the full lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, ideally across solar PV, BESS or onshore wind.
  • Experience supporting projects through multiple stages of the development and construction lifecycle.
  • An understanding of grid connections, contractor management and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of UK planning and consenting processes, alongside construction health and safety requirements, including CDM.
  • A relevant degree-level qualification in project management, engineering, planning or a related discipline.
  • Someone proactive and commercially minded, comfortable managing multiple workstreams and working autonomously.
