Cloud Specialist - #2184748

We are looking for a senior Technical Cloud Specialist to support a client based in Glasgow and work closely with a nearshore cloud team.

This role combines cloud architecture, hands-on engineering, and technical leadership. You'll act as a trusted technical advisor, helping design and deliver cloud solutions while supporting both client stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Work hands-on across cloud projects and managed services.
• Translate business and technical requirements into cloud solutions.
• Review and improve cloud designs to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
• Act as a technical lead and key client contact.
• Provide guidance and support to engineering teams.
• Help drive best practices across cloud and platform technologies.

Essential

• Experience as a Cloud Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar.
• Strong AWS and/or Azure expertise.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of networking, security, identity, storage, and compute services.
• Technical leadership or mentoring experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Desirable

• Cloud Managed Services experience.
• Experience leading technical teams or platform areas.
• Knowledge of both AWS and Azure.
• Platform engineering, automation, or DevOps experience.
• AWS or Azure certifications.
