Job Title : Corporate Tax Director

Location : London/Glasgow

Duration : 9 Months Contract

Mode of Work : Hybrid (3 Days/Week)

What they’ll actually do

• UK tax reporting, internal and external. This is the core of the role.
• Heavy quarterly forecasting and provisioning, reported up the chain.
• Tax compliance and corporation tax returns.
• HMRC engagement: audits, enquiries and drafting responses.
• Delivery through mid-year and year-end, and spotting and managing tax risk.

Must-have

• 8–10 years of UK corporate tax experience.
• Strong tax reporting and forecasting.
• Hands-on HMRC audit and enquiry experience.
• Autonomous: lands and delivers with minimal ramp-up.

Preferred, not essential

• CTA. A candidate with significant experience and no CTA is acceptable.
• Line management experience. Technical competency matters more.
• US GAAP / IFRS effective tax rate (ETR) exposure, and Oracle TRCS.
• Financial services or banking. The role is industry agnostic.
