Salary: Flexible for the right person, plus 10% performance bonus

Location: Glasgow (hybrid)

About the company

A well-established, high-growth software business with a product that is already a proven success in the financial services market. They are entering the next phase of growth and need a Principal Developer to play a pivotal part in it.

The role

You’ll be the senior technical authority for how the product is configured, delivered and scaled for financial clients. It’s a mix of hands-on technical work and leadership:

Configuring and optimising client solutions using low-code tools
Writing and tuning MS SQL for large-scale data querying and manipulation
Building reporting and MI in SSRS and Power BI
Leading, mentoring and developing a team of technical colleagues
Acting as a subject matter expert on financial data and controls

What you’ll bring

Essential

Hands-on financial reconciliation experience
Subject matter expertise in your field
Financial services experience

Also needed

Software development experience
People management experience

Tech stack

MS SQL, including performance tuning
SSRS / Power BI
Low-code configuration tools
Data querying and manipulation
