Yates Hellier is a founder-owned Glasgow agency covering residential sales, lettings and property management. Over more than a decade we’ve built our name by doing things properly: giving sellers honest advice, running every sale with care, and giving clients a service they can’t get elsewhere.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Sales Negotiator to join our sales team at Hyndland Road. You’ll already be selling homes in Scotland, and you’ll want to work somewhere standards are high and good work gets noticed.
Responsibilities
- Own a pipeline of sales from instruction to settlement, as the main point of contact for your sellers
- Conduct accompanied viewings, presenting every property knowledgeably and to the standard our clients expect
- Qualify buyers properly, and build and work an active database of applicants across the West End and beyond
- Manage notes of interest, closing dates and offers, and advise sellers clearly so they can make confident decisions
- Negotiate firmly and fairly to get the best result for your client
- Progress sales through to conclusion of missives and settlement, working closely with solicitors, lenders and surveyors
- Keep sellers informed with regular, proactive feedback, so they never have to chase us
- Generate valuation leads and support the team in winning new instructions
- Work closely with our lettings and property management teams, passing on landlord and investor opportunities
Requirements
- At least 3 years' experience in residential sales in Scotland
- A solid understanding of the Scottish buying process, including Home Reports, closing dates and missives
- A strong track record of negotiating and agreeing sales
- Clear, confident and professional communication, both written and on the phone
- Complete integrity, and real care for the people you look after
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
Benefits
- Private health and dental insurance (after one year’s service).
- Holidays that grow with service: 28 days including bank holidays, rising by one day per year served, up to to 32 days.
- Electric car salary sacrifice scheme through Octopus EV.
- Cycle to Work scheme.
- New client referral scheme.
- Use of company pool cars.
- Workplace pension.
- Monthly team lunches and regular team events.
The role is subject to satisfactory references.
