As a Risk & Compliance Director in Edinburgh, you will lead risk and compliance activity within a Professional Services organisation, helping day-to-day operations run in a controlled and consistent way. You will set clear direction across the Secretarial & Business Support department and provide oversight that supports sound business decisions.

Description

• Lead the development and delivery of risk and compliance plans across the business.
• Set clear risk and compliance priorities that support practical decision-making.
• Review key business activities to identify areas requiring stronger controls.
• Provide clear guidance on risk and compliance matters to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of risk activity and ensure actions are followed through.
• Prepare clear reports on key risk and compliance themes for senior colleagues.
• Work with the Secretarial & Business Support department to embed consistent ways of working.
• Keep risk and compliance documentation accurate, current and easy to use.

Profile

A successful 'Risk & Compliance Director' should have:

• Strong experience leading risk and compliance activity.
• The ability to assess business risks and put practical controls in place.
• Experience developing clear risk and compliance plans.
• Confidence providing clear advice to senior stakeholders.
• The ability to present complex risk information in a clear, useful format.
• Strong judgement when reviewing controls and prioritising actions.
