Electrical Engineer - Platform Systems - #2189321

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Platform Systems for a contract role within the maritime and naval engineering sector. Working as part of the Stage 1 Electrical Platform Systems Engineering Team, you will support the development of the electrical solution for a River Class Destroyer through technical documentation, design coordination and stakeholder engagement.

• Author, develop and manage Single Line Diagrams, cable schedules, keyplans and Schedules of Work
• Prepare and maintain Technical Equipment Specifications and other contractual deliverables
• Support the Senior and Principal Engineers in the delivery of electrical platform systems activities
• Provide change management and configuration management support
• Review OEM documentation and ensure deliverables meet project requirements
• Identify, manage and support the implementation of electrical design rules
• Participate in compartment and routed system model reviews, PQ reviews and closure activities
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders while supporting product safety engineers and wider project teams

• Experience in electrical engineering, ideally within a marine, naval, defence or complex engineering environment
• Understanding of electrical functional design and platform systems engineering
• Ability to develop and interpret Single Line Diagrams, cable schedules and technical specifications
• Experience producing, reviewing and managing technical engineering documentation
• Understanding of change control, configuration management and design governance
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across internal and external teams
• Ability to manage workloads proactively and work effectively as a self-starter
• Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience
