About the Company

Our client is a long-established and highly respected automotive parts distributor serving independent garages, workshops, body shops and trade customers throughout Greater Glasgow.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a customer-focused and reliable individual to join their busy branch team. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines trade counter sales, customer service, warehouse operations and local parts deliveries.

The Opportunity

The branch operates with a customer-facing trade counter at the front and a large warehouse operation to the rear. You'll play a key role in ensuring customers receive the correct parts quickly and efficiently.

You'll spend your day:

• Serving customers on the trade counter and building relationships with local garages and workshops
• Processing parts orders through the internal system
• Picking and locating automotive components from the warehouse
• Preparing and loading customer deliveries
• Driving a company van to deliver parts to trade customers across Greater Glasgow
• Managing stock movements and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Handling telephone and face-to-face customer enquiries
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch
• Maintaining high standards of customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Previous trade counter experience
• Strong customer-facing and customer service skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• A maximum of 6 penalty points on licence for insurance purposes
• Aged 21 or over for company vehicle insurance requirements
• Comfortable driving a company van throughout the Greater Glasgow area
• Good IT skills and confidence using computerised ordering systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, team-focused attitude

Desirable

• Automotive parts, motor factor or vehicle dealership experience
• Parts advisor, stores or warehouse experience
• Knowledge of automotive components and parts catalogues
• Experience dealing with garages, workshops or trade customers
