The Legal and Compliance Department (LCD) is charged with day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Firm’s compliance with core regulatory requirements covering all businesses including Institutional Sales and Trading (fixed income, commodities, equities), Investment Banking, Research, Investment Management, and the Infrastructure Divisions.
Team Profile
The Privacy Non-Financial Risk (“NFR”) team acts as a Second Line of Defence to support the whole Firm and promotes fair, transparent, and lawful practices related to the processing of Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). The successful applicant will work within Privacy NFR and focus on assisting with the management of the privacy program tools and/or processes that underpin our program.
This is an exciting opportunity join a newly established team in Glasgow, who in turn form part of the wider Privacy NFR team based across the US, EMEA and APAC.

The role will primarily be focused on the tooling used within the privacy program, for example to support Privacy Impact Assessments. Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for:

What Will You Be Doing
The role will primarily be focused on the tooling used within the privacy program, for example to support Privacy Impact Assessments. Specifically, the role holder will be responsible for:
- Working with business unit and LCD stakeholders to gather requirements for changes and enhancements to privacy tools including enhancements needed due to regulatory or business changes.
- Working with technology teams to analyse, design, and implement business requirements. This is inclusive of change management, UAT, and troubleshooting.
- Fostering continuous improvement and acting as a day-to-day point of contact for business unit and LCD stakeholders as it relates to tool functionality or performance.
- Working with business unit and Legal and Compliance stakeholders to consider new processing activities.
- Experience with building or maintaining a tool / system and/or experience testing tool(s) / system(s)
- Experience of acting or working as a Business Analyst
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and methodologies e.g., Agile
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills incl. stakeholder management
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Experience with privacy vendors and tools such as BigID or OneTrust a plus
- Understanding of global privacy regulations including GDPR, CPRA, Quebec’s Law 25 and/or experience conducting privacy impact assessments or managing individual rights requests a plus
- IAPP certifications a plus (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, AI Governance)
- Experience designing, building and maintaining Tableau reports
