Overview

Join our team of dedicated project professionals at Gallagher UK on an 18-month contract, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and accurate services.


As part of the Change Management team within the Insurance Broking Accounting division, you will be instrumental in driving projects of varying sizes and complexities, including mergers and acquisitions, divisional change initiatives, and digital transformations. We are seeking an established and ambitious Business Analyst with a robust background in process mapping and operational process improvement.


Your exceptional stakeholder management skills, honed within large, complex business environments, will be key to implementing controlled and methodical changes to our processes and systems. How you'll make an impact

  • Recognise and understand the business problem and primary objectives of new projects, challenging objectives and scope where necessary.

  • Support operational improvements including removing waste and consistent ways of working.

  • Build great relationships with key partners and working with them, use a variety of techniques and methodologies to elicit and endorse requirements.

  • Create functional requirements, coordinate the walk-through and signoff, ensure the models accurately match business needs.

  • Document needs in a manner that supports the efficient translation of these into solution requirements.

  • Plan, design and deliver the handover of business processes to the functional owner in a way that allows for continuous improvement.

  • Design and support the management of User Acceptance Testing, providing input into resolution of any fixes.

  • Support project rollout and handover.

  • You need to be a self-starter, who is well organised and able to work independently on complex tasks and deliver high quality results.

  • You will act as a champion for change, whilst working in a fast-paced change environment.


About You

  • Experienced Business Analyst with expertise in large, complex businesses.

  • Desirable: Experience in Finance Transformation programs and regulated Financial Services environments.

  • Preferable: Formal business analysis qualification or professional body membership.

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Visio.

  • Familiar with project tools like Planview, Smartsheets, Jira, or Dev Ops.

  • Skilled in creating as-is and to-be business process maps and wireframes.

  • Capable of requirements elicitation, fit/gap analysis, and preparing functional design documents.

  • Experienced in identifying process and system improvement opportunities.

  • Confident in managing and maintaining key relationships within projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business presentation abilities.

  • Ability to synthesise learning from diverse opportunities and sources.

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with large datasets.

  • Experience working in matrix teams across multiple offices, including third-party suppliers.

  • Commercial and customer-focused, delivering outcome-oriented solutions.

  • Deadline-driven, prioritising tasks to achieve timely results; able to lead and motivate others.

  • Strong communication skills, effective across all levels.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing senior management decisions.

  • Proactive in conflict resolution and issue escalation.

  • Seeks process improvements and delay elimination.

  • Sets priorities, develops schedules, monitors progress, and tracks outcomes.

  • Eligible to work in the UK; occasional travel to Gallagher offices may be required.
