Job DescriptionYour Mission:

Are you an experienced Construction Estimator who thrives on diving into the details—from first shovel in the ground to final handover? We're looking for someone who’s confident pricing all aspects of construction, with a sharp focus on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works.
Join our team and play a key role in building accurate, client-focused cost estimates that drive project success!
What You’ll Do:
Work hand-in-hand with Project Managers to prepare detailed, data-driven cost estimates. Absorb technical documentation quickly and translate it into actionable insights. Estimate material, labour, and plant requirements across all project stages. Produce and check quantities to support competitive and value-driven pricing. Build client-friendly Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) from complex scopes. Benchmark costs and track market rates to inform pricing strategy. Collaborate with Project Controls, Planning, and Commercial teams for estimate validation and governance. Monitor project costs throughout delivery, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Maintain and update benchmarking data for future use and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
Solid experience in estimating across construction projects, especially M&E packages. Strong analytical skills and a fast learner when it comes to technical documentation. Proficiency with estimating software/tools and Excel. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Familiarity with project governance frameworks and control procedures.

What You Bring:
Strong background in M&E construction estimating (ideally 5+ years' experience). Excellent analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail. Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stay organised under pressure. Good communication, presentation, and reporting skills. Proactive and self-driven—you take ownership and make things happen. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and estimating tools.
Additional InformationHybrid working - 2 or 3 days/fortnight in the Client's Glasgow City Centre office
