Job Description

Senior IT Engineer - Hybrid - Belfast

We’re now recruiting for a Senior Support Engineer to join our busy team based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The two main priorities of this role are to provide senior level expertise with regard to design and implementation of solutions whilst supporting the business. You will own all other project management for projects being run within the team. It is critical to have a strong project management skill set. The role can be varied and covers a wide range of technologies and services so the candidate must be able to adapt to changes in responsibilities and duties as appropriate.

Part of this role will also be to identify any potential issues and improvements to systems and to provide adequate solutions to the changing requirements of the business. There will also be an expectation of involvement in project work being carried out on the wider business IT infrastructure and platforms.

This is a permanent position that will require 2-3 days per week from our Belfast office.

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent.
  • CCNA or Fortinet Certified Professional or equivalent.
  • Prince2 Project Management qualification.
  • ITIL qualification or relevant experience

Additional Information

Beneficial Skills & Experience

  • Project Management experience.
  • ITIL experience.
  • ISO, Cyber Essentials and other auditing frameworks experience.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security Principals.
  • Experience being part of a service desk team with a strong understanding of change management.
  • Support of Azure Active Directory, Azure vWAN, Azure Firewalls, Azure Landing Zone and Office 365 features (SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams etc)
  • Management and deployment of Fortinet Fortigate
  • Management of Meraki Cisco switching and access points
  • Management and Deployment of Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Management of HPE Alletra
  • Management of HPE Aruba switching
