Senior Fire Engineer | Glasgow | Leadership Role in a Rapidly Growing Design & Engineering Firm
A fast-growing, multidisciplinary firm based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join its expanding team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level professional to take on a high-impact role, contribute to complex projects, and help shape the future of fire engineering within a design-led, innovation-driven environment
As a Senior Fire Engineer, you’ll be a key figure in both project delivery and internal leadership. You’ll oversee design development, provide technical guidance to junior staff, coordinate with external consultants and clients, and ensure compliance with the highest industry standards. This is a permanent role with real opportunities for progression into management or specialist expert pathways
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of fire strategies and fire safety designs across a range of project types
* Liaise with clients, project teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth delivery and compliance
* Review, guide, and mentor junior and intermediate engineers on fire engineering design and documentation
* Coordinate fire engineering input with other disciplines including architecture, MEP, and structural engineering
* Conduct site visits and inspections, providing support during construction and sign-off stages
* Prepare and present technical reports and design justifications in line with Irish regulations
Required Experience & Skills:
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a fire engineering role, preferably across multiple sectors
* Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, including Part B and Part M
* Expertise in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit and SketchUp are strong advantages
* Proven skills in technical drafting, construction detailing, and project coordination
* Solid understanding of cross-discipline collaboration in design and construction
* Significant on-site experience and familiarity with regulatory approvals process
* Ability to manage multiple projects and lead technical teams with minimal supervision
